Age 10-and up - Lesson length 30-45 minutes
Your singing lessons include vocal technique with an emphasis on breath work, resonance, diction and projection. Exercises, scale patterns and musicianship may lead you to a Royal Conservatory of Music examination. You have the option to sing in several languages, including English, French, German, Italian, Latin or Spanish. Genres include Classical, Folk Song, Art Song and Music theatre. Performance opportunities include studio and public recitals, local, provincial and Western Canada music festival competitions and auditions. More advanced students will expand their repertoire. Styles may include Opera, French mélodie, Oratorio, Sacred and Secular Classical song, Art song and Music theatre. Advanced students wmay opt for a more advanced
